Departments

Child Health Nursing department consists of 4 experienced faculty, 1 Professor, 1 Asst. Professor and 2 Clinical Instructors. Department has MCH lab with Neonatal Resuscitation Mannequin, Baby dummies, new-born assessment equipment’s, variety of play materials and other requirements to teach specific Paediatric procedures to students. Their clinical experience is completed in 50 bedded Paediatric ward, 5 bedded PICU and NICU with 10 bedded of Holy Cross Hospital. Post Graduate students also get clinical exposure in NICU of Life line Hospital, Adoor. Department takes keen interest in conducting extension service and participates in all relevant Health Care programmes. Department is conducting awareness programs during National and International Health days. Departmental faculty always shows more interest in updating students’ knowledge and skill through various teaching learning methodology and simulation training through OSCE Procedures. The faculty of CHN takes active participation in Research activities and guiding the students.
