The Obstetrics and Gynaecological Department has 7 Nursing faculty in total with 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 3 Asst. Professors and 2 Clinical Instructors. The department has a well-established lab with high-tech dummies and mannequins to practice Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing related procedures and care. The students are provided with well facilitated clinical experience at Holy Cross Hospital and Government Victoria Hospital. Health education services are rendered by the Obstetrics and Gynecological department on all national and international calendar days such as Breastfeeding week celebration, sexual and reproductive health of women on Women's day. The postgraduate students from OBG department conduct mass health education and teaching sessions among women regarding various health obstacles which they are facing throughout their life journey. The Department members have undertaken departmental research activities and published articles and studies in national and international journals in order to upgrade knowledge and professional development. The department also conducted webinars and workshops as a part of professional enhancement. Faculty are encouraged to attend CNE, workshops, seminars and webinars.
